The Basque National Orchestra is also for everyone. Judging by the diversity of the origin of its musicians, it represents a sort of global village. Apart from the growing number of Basque musicians, France, Poland, New Zealand, United States, Uzbekistan, Russia or Rumania are just some of the countries that appear among the passports of Basque National Orchestra members. However, right here and right now they all form a compact human group, strongly identifying with the Orchestra?s artistic project and committed to work on it from each of their individual aspects.

“One of the lovely things about the Orchestra is the chance it gives you to meet such different people”
“It is very particular job. How many companies can boast ninety people working together, all doing something all at the same time?”
“Being a musician can be immensely enjoyable but also very difficult. There are arid times, alongside others that make you feel very lucky, always accompanied by the stress involved with not being able to make a mistake”
“What I've noticed the most over this time is the change in the concert halls. Before we often had poor sales and played to half empty theatres. Now we?re almost always completely sold out”
“Each programme is different, each concert is unique but you must give your best every time”
